Almost a month after it was broadcasted in the main TV channels in almost every country, Susan Boyle’s TV special still remains as one of Susan most dear and special moments in this dream she is living in since she was catapulted to stardom last year.
One of the first words of the video that made Susan famous was that she wanted to be like Elaine Page and as of she was telling her wish to genie a few days lates she was as famous or more than Elaine Page and a few months down the line Susan and Elaine sang together in a TV special dedicated to Susan Boyle.
“I can’t believe I have just sung on a stage with Elaine Paige – she is an icon of the stage. I know I don’t have the years behind me that she has had but I sang with her as an equal. That is something I never thought I would do.”

With more than 5 million albums sold worldwide, 2,4 of those sold in the United States, Susan Boyle is becoming one of the highest selling artist of the year blocking solid acts like Alicia Keys and Andrea Bocelli from the top of the best selling albums lists.
Susan Boyle sold 661,00 copies of her CD “I Dreamed a Dream” this week in the USA and according to Billboard SUsan Boyle is on her way to sell more than 500,00 copies this week placing here way ahead of May J Blige´s “Stronger with Each Tear” which is on it´s way to sell around 300,000 copies, still no match for Susan Boyle´s.
If, as Billboard predicts, Susan sells in the neighborhood of half a million copies this week, she will likely be the best selling artist of the year outperforming Taylor Swift´s album, which has sold over 2,930,000 copies.
Susan Boyle is heading a record sales race non stop, and sales are expected to pick up after tonight’s air of the documentary about Susan Boyle’s journey so far ‘I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story’.
Susan Boyle moved 527,000 copies of her album this week, which is a 25% drop from the previous week a strong hold for an album that has proved to be a complete success. If the album sales continue this path, Susan Boyle’s album will be America’s best selling album of the year, surpassing the sales of Taylor Swift who has moved 2.5 million copies to date.
