Album sales and official news
Susan candidly sings Don’t Cry for Me Argentina in front of a mirror with a hair brush as a microphone, she’s probably done this so many times in her 47 years, but this time is in front of a camera with millions of people waiting to hear every single note she sings.
It’s a short performance, kind of done as a game, a game that more famous singers wouldn’t even dare to do, but she hasn’t lost that innocence that candidness of doing mundane things in front of a camera. The world has taken Susan in a whirlwind of interviews and media attention, yet she manages to keep up with it with the same freshness she introduced herself in Britain’s Got Talent.
Here is the video for you to enjoy:
While not confirmed by Simon Cowell representatives a source to the British Got Talent judge says that he may be planning a duets album between Potts and Boyle.
Paul Potts found stardom in a very similar was as Susan Boyle, a normal phone salesman with a voice that impressed equally judges and audience, later he released an album called On Chance that went on to sell more than 4 million copies, his new album is being released these days around the world.
On this premises it seems unlikely that a duets album will happen, but maybe some kind of duet in Susan’s debut album. This would certainly would give a boost in the sales and popularity of the already immensely popular Susan Boyle.
According to an interview Simon Cowell states that Susan is destined for stardom, he says. ‘I’m thrilled to bits for her. . . . That’s why I love making these shows. You can’t plan for it.”.
For those of you who though that Susan’s performance was a one lucky performance in Britain’s Got Talent, here is a video of Susan singing a capella I dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.
Again Susan’s performance is impeccable, steady and calm she goes through the song like it’s hers.
