Paul Potts Talks about Susan Boyle
If anybody in the world can relate to Susan Boyle that person in 2007′s Britain’s Got Talent Paul Potts, he wen’t though a smiliar process where he was typecasted as a joke even before he started singing, but the moment the first notes came out of his mouth, everybody stood in awe of his rendition of Nesun Dorma.
After winning Britain’s Got Talent he went on to record a CD which has sold more than 3,5 million copies worldwide being No. 1 in no less than 19 countries.
Paul Potts was in England during Susan Boyle’s audition broadcast, he as seen the stir it caused and how her fame has grown exponentially over the days thanks to the Internet, according to Paul Potts “I think she sang really well,” Lets remember that Susan’s rise to fame has been even bigger and faster than the one Paul Potts suffered, there was a lot of pressure on him and he reckons there’ll be even more pressure on her.
“I’m not sure I’d like to be in Susan’s position. I think there’s a bit more pressure on her because the impact has happened during the audition stage of the show and of course we’re only half way through the auditions now.”
But Paul Potts whose image has been polished after he rose to fame thinks that Susan Should stay true to herself and only change the bits she is comfortable with:
“She needs to be herself ’cause she has to live with herself for the rest of her life, no matter what else happens,” says Potts “I woudn’t want anybody to be pressured to be anything they’re not. People should always be who they are and be true to who they are ’cause you’re going to have to live with yourself after everybody else loses interest.”
If story repeats itself and Susan wins the competition, she sure will need all the help in the world to understand and cope the media attention that every little thing that she does will get.
