Experts were amazed of the figures Susan Boyle’s first album was moving, saying that it had exceeded their expectations at around 550,000 copies, but again they were wrong by far, Susan Boyle’s album has sold a whooping 701,000 in the States alone
An unlikely hero Susan has become not only an Internet sensation but a record breaker as well, she broke records when she first auditioned for Britain’s got Talent and a bit more than half a year later Susan breaks new records again: the most preorders in the history of Amazon, the biggest debut week of an album this year, the best selling debut album in the UK, … etc.
Susan Boyle’s debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream” published in Simon Cowell’s label Sysco/Columbia, has not only sold 701,000 copies in the United States alone ( Nielsen SoundScan), it’s also the biggest opening-week sales for any album this year, even eclipsing big popular acts like Eminem or U2, and the best reocrded for a debut artist since Snoop Doggy Dogg’s “Doggystyle” in 1993.

“I Dreamed a Dream” has become a global sensation sames when Susan auditioned. it has reached No. 1 in Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand and top 10 and many other countries. According to Columbia it has sold three million copies around the world.

Our family purchased two copies of Susan Boyle’s sensational CD and have one playing all the time in our car. We have friends and relatives saying “Play Wild Horses” again, etc. Susan sings like an angel and has brought joy to all of us around the globe. We are in Tampa and look forward to all future music and think Susan will continue to inspire all of us! Good luck Susan. The Davison family!

Pray she can keep up and not get too stressed. Was sorry to hear of her outburst in the airport and hope she realizes that kind of behavior will hurt her career terribly. She has a beautiful voice, great sense of humor and obviously loves people. I wish her the best and hope she gets another album out soon. Mine is about worn out.
I hope that the negative comments that were allegedly made by Elaine Paige is a figment of some reject reporter, and not from the stage star whose career was jump started by Susan Boyle indicating that she would like to be like Elaine Paige. Thanks to Susan, Elaine’s name has been mentioned to a new audience and her CD sales have increased. We know that Sharon Osbourne made some very insulting comments because they were recorded as well as taped. So there is no pulling out of that.
susan story is inspiring it gives light where there is darkness and has inspired people to dream.with all that said everytime i hear her sing i just get gossbumps
