Susan Boyle West End Role from Andrew Lloyd Webber

Susan Boyle who appeared in the Oprah Winfrey show earlier this week to talk about her newfound fame, might have found another high profile fan. This time is Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, composer and producer of such shows as The Phantom of The Opera, Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber confessed that he hasn’t seen Susan’s audition for ITV Britain’s Got Talent (He must be one of the few people in the northern hemisphere not to) but he remembers seeing Susan in Barrymore’s My kind of People.

Susan and Andrew Lloyd Webber met recently at a recording studio in London where Susan confessed being a fan of the composer’s work. After the meeting Mr. Webber told The Sun that he might have the right role for Susan in the west end.

“She is a terrific sport and she’s a great fan of my shows,” he said.

“If she wanted to be in one, well it could happen. It would have to be the right role. Maybe I know what it could be, but I’m not telling. She’s got a great future”

Susan Boyle’s Future

Right now Susan’s future is a myriad of possibilities with no certainty of what will she do whether she wins or not. She has some firm offers like a role in the movie Section B along with Cindy Lauper and Tippi Hedren, and perhaps a role in the west end from Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

A recording contract is allegedly already in the works and perhaps the fact that they both met at a recording studio confirms that she’ll be working on a CD soon.

Update:

There are some rumors around saying that the role Sir. Andrew Lloyd Webber is considering for Susan Boyle may be that of Evita. A role first played in the UK but Susan Boyle’s idol Elaine Page. But perhaps what Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber is referring to is a new role from a new musical that may may be in the works. In any case the presence of Susan Boyle in a West End Musical would boost sales of the musical for sure. Just as it has happened with Les Miserables which saw a boos on its ticket sales right after Susan Boyle’s audition in Britain’s Got Talent.

Susan Boyle deserves the finest roles with a great composer. Andrew Lloyd Weber would be exactly right for her and a “Evita” would be a great showcase for Susan.

Her first CD is truly fine, and according to what I’m reading there may be plans for another CD soon.

This wonderful woman deserves the best, after living all of those years in obscurity.

Susan Boyle is a wonderful talent. Teaming up with Andrew Lloyd in a show like Evita would be the perfect vehicle for her.

I have “googled” her today, and there seems to be talk of another CD. I just bought her first CD “Cry Me a River” and it is really fine.

Good luck Susan! You deserve it!!!!!!!!
